This variety produces strong, climbing plants that reach approximately 120–180 cm in height, so providing a trellis or support is recommended. The pods are wide, flat, and long, typically reaching 10–13 cm in length. They are tender and crisp when harvested at the right stage. Unlike shelling peas, this variety is grown for its edible pods rather than large peas inside the pods. The pods are harvested while still flat and are eaten whole without the need for shelling.
