Runway Arugula is an open-pollinated variety featuring broad, uniform, dark green leaves with a balanced peppery flavor that is milder than many traditional arugula varieties. It is an excellent choice for fresh salads, sandwiches, green smoothies, pizza, and pasta dishes, and can also be lightly cooked.
This fast-growing variety is highly productive and maintains excellent leaf quality through repeated harvests. It is well suited to the mild growing season in the Gulf countries and is best direct sown from October through February. For a continuous supply of fresh leaves, sow successively every two to three weeks throughout the season.
Runway Arugula thrives in fertile, well-drained soil with consistent moisture to produce tender, high-quality leaves. Baby leaves can be harvested in approximately 25–30 days after sowing, or plants can be left to mature for larger leaves. The plants will continue producing fresh growth with repeated harvesting.
