A traditional open-pollinated purple broccoli variety known for producing numerous small, dark-purple shoots rather than one large central head. It has tender stems and a mild, slightly sweet flavor. After the main shoots are harvested, the plant continues producing multiple side shoots, providing a long and repeated harvest period. The purple color turns green when cooked.

Specifications: The botanical name is Brassica oleracea var. italica. This open-pollinated variety has vigorous growth and produces multiple purple shoots. Plants reach approximately 60–90 cm in height and perform best in full sun to partial shade, in fertile, organic-rich, well-drained soil with consistent moisture. Seeds typically germinate within 7–14 days and should be sown approximately 0.5–1 cm deep, with around 45–60 cm between plants. The variety requires a period of cool weather to encourage shoot formation and continues producing side shoots after harvesting begins.

Growing in the Gulf Region: It is recommended to start the seeds in seed trays during September and October, then transplant the seedlings once they have developed well. Production begins during the winter and can continue into early spring. Regular harvesting of the shoots encourages the plant to produce more side shoots.
