Corno Di Toro Giallo is a classic Italian heirloom sweet pepper variety, renowned for its long, curved fruits that resemble a bull's horn. The peppers mature to a brilliant golden-yellow color, typically reaching 18–25 cm in length. They have medium to thick walls, a crisp texture, and a rich, sweet flavor that becomes even sweeter as the fruits fully ripen.
The plants are highly productive, producing abundant, uniform fruits throughout the season. This heirloom variety performs well in open fields, raised beds, containers, and greenhouses. With regular irrigation and proper fertilization, it thrives in warm climates, making it an excellent choice for winter cultivation in the Gulf countries.
Its sweet, flavorful fruits are perfect for fresh salads, grilling, stuffing, roasting, and a wide range of cooked dishes, while maintaining their excellent texture and taste after cooking.
In the Gulf countries, seeds are best sown from September to November. Seedlings can be started indoors in August or September and transplanted once temperatures become moderate. Harvest usually begins 75–90 days after transplanting, depending on growing conditions.
