Wild Arugula is an heirloom, open-pollinated leafy herb prized for its narrow, deeply serrated dark green leaves and its bold, peppery flavor, which is more intense than that of common arugula. It is a favorite among chefs and home gardeners, adding a distinctive taste to fresh salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pasta dishes, green smoothies, and as a flavorful garnish.
This variety is fast-growing and highly productive, continuously producing new leaves when harvested regularly, allowing for an extended harvest season. Young leaves offer a milder flavor, while more mature leaves develop a richer, spicier taste.
Baby leaves can be harvested in approximately 20–30 days, with full-size plants ready in about 40–50 days. In the Gulf region, seeds are best sown directly in their growing location from September through February for the best performance.
