Scarlet Nantes is one of the world's most popular and trusted carrot varieties. It produces smooth, straight, cylindrical roots with a bright orange color that extends to the core. Planting & Care:
Sow seeds directly in their final growing location at a depth of 0.5–1 cm (¼–½ inch). Transplanting is not recommended, as it may affect root development. Grow in loose, well-drained, stone-free soil to encourage smooth, straight roots. Keep the soil evenly moist with regular watering while avoiding overwatering. After germination, thin the seedlings to provide adequate spacing for larger, more uniform roots, and remove weeds regularly to reduce competition for water and nutrients.
Light Requirements:
Seeds do not require light to germinate and should be covered with soil after sowing. Once established, plants perform best in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.
Planting Season in Kuwait & the Gulf Region:
The best planting time is from September through November, when cooler temperatures encourage the production of long, smooth, uniform roots with a vibrant orange color, exceptional sweetness, and excellent quality.
