This certified organic variety grows into vigorous plants reaching approximately 300–420 cm (10–14 ft) tall under favorable conditions. It produces massive flower heads measuring 30–35 cm (12–14 in) across on thick, sturdy stems. Flowering begins about 80–100 days after sowing, depending on growing conditions. Its exceptional height makes it one of the tallest sunflower varieties available, creating a spectacular display in landscapes and large garden spaces. It requires full sun with at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. No artificial lighting is required for seed germination, and it is an easy-to-grow, fast-growing variety.
Growing Guide for the Gulf Region:
For best results, sow seeds directly in their permanent location from mid-September through the end of February. Seeds can also be started indoors in early September and transplanted outdoors once weather conditions become suitable.
Sow seeds 2–3 cm (¾–1¼ in) deep, spacing plants 60–90 cm (24–36 in) apart to provide adequate room for their impressive size. Seeds typically germinate within 7–14 days at temperatures between 20–25°C (68–77°F). Grow in well-drained, fertile soil rich in organic matter, water regularly while allowing the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings, and apply a balanced fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during active growth. Due to its exceptional height, growing in a location protected from strong winds or providing support is recommended.
